February 2023 Meeting - Völuspá

For our February meeting we will read and discuss Völuspá (Prophecy of the völva/seeress).

We will aim to meet at Frontier on the 2nd Sunday of the month (Sunday, 2/12/2023) with the primary discussion / public portion of the meeting starting around 5:30 PM.

In the early 1980s, Sveinbjorn Beinteinsson, whom I mentioned at the most recent meeting, did a rímur-style recording of Voluspa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCXKF2xwh3Y Also, Sequentia has a pretty fun performance of the poem broken into three tracks on their album Edda - Myths from Medieval Iceland.
