Midsummer Blot

The Religious Holidays of Asatru Including Yule Blot

Keeper of Seasons Hall celebrates the religious holidays of Asatru. There are many celebrations, rituals, and holidays that are held throughout the year. Of all of these, the Midsummer blot and Yule blot are two of the most important.

A blot is our primary religious celebration and typically features a votive offering—usually a libation. These celebrations are held throughout the year.

The Midsummer blot takes place around the Summer Solstice and celebrates the turn of the seasons.

The Yule blot is a festival celebrated around mid-December.

Keeper of Seasons Hall also practices Sumbles. These are three rounds of ritual drinking and toasting. These rounds are devoted to the Gods and the Goddesses, our ancestors and the departed. They also feature toasts and boasts.
