Oak of Odin (a sonnet) by Sorn

Weathers strife-storms and still stands tall, Unbowed by wyrd’s winds, orlog’s rain; Goals and feats to grow might and main, Worthy works to inspire us all.

Oak of Odin opens word hoard, Ring-breaker drops wit-wealth, hard-won, Great gifts given everyone That they may sharpen mind’s sword.

With wisdom such I ween he’s drunk from Mimir’s well, And roots running deep in courage and will, Group’s steady guide through good and through ill- I hail our Ritari, Erich Campbell:

Hail, awesome Odin’s oak, organizer of hall- Hail, and thanks, for what you’ve shared with all.

I hope to one day be a Ritari worthy of your verse as well.
